Spotlight On: Tilde Lindholm
In today’s ‘Spotlight On’ we feature Tilde Lindholm. Find out more about Tilde and how her role as an ABL Structuring Analyst at ABN AMRO Commercial Finance UK brings value to our clients.
When did you join ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance?
I joined ABN AMRO Commercial Finance in 2018 as a ‘Know Your Client’ analyst within the “Responsible and Reliable Banking” team. I now work in our Corporate and International Sales Team. Prior to working at ABN AMRO Commercial Finance, I was a Market Risk Analyst for Spring Securities based in Stockholm.
Describe your role at ABN AMRO Asset Based Finance…
As a Structuring Analyst, I work closely with our Business Development Managers to deliver suitable and sustainable funding solutions to free up working capital and allow our clients to grow. I love getting to know our clients, right from the initial meetings through to final sign off. I’m also responsible for most of the work that goes into our credit applications.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
The culture at ABN AMRO Commercial Finance is very supportive and I’ve had the pleasure of being involved in a number of fantastic Asset Based Lending opportunities with stakeholders from some of the largest UK corporates. There is no better feeling than when a complex deal, that you’ve been working on for a client gets the final sign off. Funds are paid out that will mean continued business growth - which feels as though I’m making a difference, now more than ever.
What’s the biggest value-add your role brings to clients?
I help our clients receive the best financing solution and I like to ensure the path from initial discussions to final sign off is as smooth and comfortable as possible. Getting appropriate funding should be a pleasant and straightforward experience for clients and we take pride in ensuring that we deliver on this.
What does a normal day of remote work look like for you?
My day typically starts with a large cup of coffee and a team video call, where we discuss the different stages our deals are at and what timelines we are working against. I spend a lot of my day interacting with my team, working on our credit applications and liaising with stakeholders within our business to make sure that we are aligned supporting our clients in the best way.
How are you staying connected with your clients during these challenging times?
At ABN we pride ourselves on building long-lasting, personal relationships. When we can’t physically meet we stay in touch with clients and advisors on video calls. This gives everyone a chance to put a name to a face. I’ve spent a lot of my time -keeping my clients updated on how we are progressing with credit applications and what they can expect from us going forward. We are here to take the time to listen to and deliver for our clients.
Do you have any tips to find a good work-life balance while working remotely?
I think it’s very important to go for a walk before the working day begins, it helps to declutter thoughts and generate endorphins. A breath of fresh air really does wonders for well-being! Working remotely, and in new business, can at times, be very intense but working at ABN AMRO Commercial Finance means I get to enjoy the benefit of GOSH (our Go & Open up Space Hour). It’s an hour each day where we’re encouraged to step away from our daily routine and do something we love for physical and mental benefits. For me this has been crucial in scheduling a break which helps me maintain my focus throughout the day.
What was your dream job as a child?
A gardener! When I was a child I loved being outdoors and helping my parents in the garden, although as I’ve gotten older, I’ve found that being people-focused is something that I enjoy the most.
What makes your heart beat faster?
My two Persian cats - Freddie and Francis - who can occasionally be seen (and heard) on Microsoft Teams calls. I love animals!
